  • October 2016: "Winder et al. 2015. Factors affecting female space use in ten populations of prairie chicken" awarded Outstanding Paper Award for 2016 by The Wildlife Society!

  • October 2016: Thanks to Archbold Biological Station for hosting me as an Invited Speaker in Archbold’s Distinguished Speaker Seminar Series

  • Aug 2017: I recently attended the Ornithological Congress of the Americas in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina as a member of the AFO council. I presented a poster co-authored with Dr. Jeff Walters entitled "A habitat model to aid the conservation of Red-cockaded Woodpeckers in the swamps of North Carolina". The meeting was a huge success!
